Rural Development

We must have a rural development strategy that is not aimed at compensating political objectives but rather based on sound sustainable development strategy; a product of pertinent research, studies, and participatory planning. The main objectives will be to:

• Strengthen local government authorities to provide needed services.
• Provide good network of roads accessible during dry and rainy season.
• Improve services to farmers and entrepreneurs.
• Build social and environmental sustainability.
• Establish rural infrastructure  (Access to clean water, health care, power, and communication)
• Provide education, training and capacity building of rural people.
• Promote good planning at all levels of government, based on good information about the rural areas.
• Fair and equitable access to social welfare.
